Filling Acrylic Resin
EUROTAN R-40 is a resin-based retanning agent that provides fullness and softness to the leather. It is suitable for retanning loose or empty leathers as a replacement for vegetable and synthetic tannins, while preserving the characteristic properties of chrome-tanned leather.
Once absorbed into the leather, at a pH above 4.2–4.5, it polymerizes and becomes fixed through the addition of chromium salts, tannins, or by lowering the pH to 2.8–3.0.
